et cetera
This section is my personal site. Here you can find short stories, hypertext fiction, musical recordings, a comic (or maybe, eventually, two), and a bunch of photos of me and my family. On this, the opening page, I will post various things about the food we eat at our house, the darling things my baby does, and links to friends' sites.
We eat absurdly well here
Ian and Nina cooked an absurdly delicious breakfast on Saturday: Nina made a cappuccino coffee cake that seemed designed to make it okay to eat chocolate cake for breakfast (not that I had a problem with that before). She also made these delicious millet corn muffins with wonderful crunchy tops. And Ian made a Happy House classic (that I think he & Nina invented another time) -- sliced apples topped with biscuits. We shared this feast with friends Kristin & Angelo, visiting from L.A., and Frank & Deborah and their baby Abby. Then on Sunday, Ian made eggs to order. Tamsin's Sunday dinner was pork loin with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, an incredible salad. A true Sunday dinner. On Monday, movie night, we watched the documentary "My Architect" which we all loved, and Ian cooked a Tunisian squash stew, white beans, and chermoulah. More on our food to come (actually this whole blog might end up being about our food).

Happy House and Happy Baby
Kevin Boyd (my husband), Nathaniel Toro Boyd (our son), and I live in Brooklyn in a small coop (as in "cooperative living") called "Happy House," with housemates, Ian Hart, Tamsin Nutter, and Nina Pessin-Whedbee. It is a big refinished loft space in Gowanus. Here I will blog about our adorable son, our wonderful meals, and our happy adventures.
