  • Video Production: Participated in year-long intensive workshop in documentary production. Directed and edited short documentary, Worms in the Big Apple, about urban composting in New York City. Did camera, sound, lighting work on six other short documentaries. Trained in DVC-Pro and editing on FinalCut Pro.
  • Research and Study: Researched media and intellectual property in Havana, Cuba. Studied theory and history of documentary and ethnographic film, food policy, and community and indigenous media.

Coordinated a gang-prevention collaborative in San Francisco's Mission District.

    Researched and wrote grant applications, assisted with individual donor drive, and raised in-kind donations. Conducted nightly outreach to homeless youth and young adults in San Francisco's Mission District; distributed food and hygiene supplies and educated youth on health issues. Counseled and case-managed clients, including sex workers, intravenous drug users, and gang members. Wrote and designed publications and website (www.atthecrossroads.org). Conducted research on services and homelessness. Networked with service providers and funders.
